Intimate Ceremony at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison
Let me tell you about one of the sweetest weddings I’ve had the joy of capturing! Amanda and Ryan kept things beautifully simple with an intimate ceremony at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. With only their closest family present, the entire moment felt deeply personal and filled with love. The Capitol’s stunning architecture set the perfect scene as Amanda and Ryan exchanged vows surrounded by warmth, support, and happy tears.
There’s just something extra special about smaller weddings like this – when the focus is entirely on the couple and the people who matter most.
Intimate Reception at Garver Feed Mill in Madison WI
After the ceremony, the celebration continued with an intimate reception at Garver Feed Mill in Madison WI. Amanda and Ryan leaned into a playful and joyful vibe with their decor. Think soft blush, sunshine yellows, and vibrant oranges in their floral arrangements – it truly felt like the glow of summer was brought indoors!
They invited about 80 guests and chose to skip the traditional wedding party. Their siblings served as maid of honor and best man behind the scenes, adding a heartfelt and meaningful touch to their day.
Dinner was served family-style (always a favorite in my book!), which added to the cozy and connected feel of the evening.
Late Night Wedding Pizza from Ian’s Madison
As the night wound down, the couple grabbed a few cocktails and some late-night pizza from Ian’s to enjoy a low-key moment just for themselves. Sometimes the best part of the day is just kicking back together and soaking it all in.
We closed out the night with some fun flash portraits inside, then they jumped right back into dancing the night away with their guests. It was the perfect end to a day filled with connection, color, and love.
